Islamophobic Remarks :
Hindu extremist Manish Yadav hails from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He is the leader of the Hindu Army, a militant Hindu group. He started a campaign to racially divide the Shahi Eidgah Mosque issue in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, after leaving the Samajwadi Party in 2018 following a five-year stay.
Yadav achieved notoriety for himself as the “protector of religion,” declaring to be a direct descendant of Lord Shri Krishna. He organized campaigns to demolish the mosque and restore the reputed birthplace of Lord Krishna.
He left Lucknow in September 2020 to organize a demonstration calling for the release of Krishna Janambhumi near the contentious site in Mathura.
He was detained for upsetting the peace in the area together with twelve other people. Notably, Yadav is one of the petitioners in the court case involving the ongoing mosque-temple dispute.
In another instance, Yadav put up posters in Lucknow under the name of the “Hindu Army,” an organization he claims works to protect “oppressed” Hindus against the backdrop of anti-CAA agitations across the nation, with his face and the message “Jaago Hindu, Jaago” (wake up, Hindus).

In 2020, after anti-Muslim riots in north-eastern Delhi, Yadav pledged to ‘Islam-free’ the city if the government gave him full reign.
As a result, the Lucknow police charged him with violating Sections 153-A and 505 (2) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, which prohibit inciting hatred among communities, and Sections 66 and 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, which prohibit publishing pornographic material.
Yadav had claimed on his official Facebook page—which is no longer accessible—that his group stands up for “nyay aur dharm” (justice and religion) and that they won’t be afraid to “pick up weapons.” The Times of India reported that Yadav’s next battle will be for a “population control bill that will open the doors for the realization of a Hindu Rashtra.”
