Islamophobic Remarks :
Sudhir Chaudhary is a Hindu news anchor who leans to the extreme right and serves as the BJP’s (Bharatiya Janata Party) spokesman. He is a fervent propagandist for Islamophobia who frequently spreads false material on his prime-time shows.
In July 2022, Chaudhary—who formerly worked for Zee News—joined Aaj Tak News as a consulting editor.
A video that showed Chaudhary extorting money from steel tycoon and Congress member Naveen Jindal went viral in 2012. He was detained after Jindal’s company filed a complaint accusing him of requesting Rs 100 crore in exchange for avoiding airing negative news about the company. Later, he was freed on bond.
Since PM Narendra Modi took office in 2014, Chaudhary has frequently spread bigotry and anti-Muslim hatred on his prime-time broadcasts. He previously hosted the “Daily News and Analysis (DNA)” show in prime time at Zee News, and he currently hosts “Black and White” on Aaj Tak.

On February 9, 2016, the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi was the scene of anti-national chants such as “Pakistan zindabad” (long live Pakistan), “Bharat tere tukde honge,” and “India shall be divided in pieces,” according to a doctored video played by Sudhir Chaudhary. Instead, they were chanting “Bharatiya court Zindabad” (long live Indian courts).
The existence of “Nano GPS chips” in Rs. 2,000 notes, according to Chaudhary’s sensational fabrication from 2016, would enable the government to follow the notes anywhere. The RBI has openly denied his assertions. Aplana Killawala, the then-RBI spokesman, said to News18, “Since such a technology does not currently exist in the world, how can we introduce such a feature?” Sudhir never expressed regret or thought it essential to clarify the situation.
In Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, a young Muslim girl was kidnapped, held captive in a temple, and repeatedly raped for a week before being killed by a stone and strangulation in January 2018. Sudhir aggressively defended the accused and pushed for their exoneration and innocence.
Numerous episodes of Sudhir’s television program DNA during the COVID epidemic were devoted to spreading the myth that Muslims from Tablighi Jamaat, a Muslim religious group, were deliberately disseminating coronavirus to undermine India’s COVID defenses.

Chaudhary used these inflammatory incidents to blame Muslims for COVID 19’s eruption in India. The vicious media campaign stoked anti-Muslim sentiment across the country, which resulted in a rash of attacks on defenseless Muslims.
On March 11, 2020, Sudhir Chaudhary discussed the anatomy of jihad on his program using a phony “flow chart” that listed various forms of jihad, including “Hard jihad, Soft jihad, Economic jihad, History jihad, Media jihad, Secularism, Population jihad, Love jihad, Victim jihad, Education jihad, and Direct jihad.”
He argued that various forms of jihad are ways Muslims are attempting to overthrow India and establish their supremacy there. The purpose of the program was to vilify Muslims and incite widespread violence against them. Despite the fact that he was the subject of numerous police complaints, he continued to promote anti-Muslim conspiracies in his subsequent shows.
Additionally, Chaudhary detests democracy and thinks India has “too much democracy.” He asked, “Too much democracy, good or bad,” in his DNA.
“The dangers of too much democracy are sweet enough to cause diabetes in the nation. People take to protest and demonstrations on every issue, which slows down progress and makes it more difficult to enforce harsh regulations, he said.
