Islamophobic Remarks :
Amit Hindu is a foot soldier with the Bajrang Dal who operates in New Delhi and Gurugram. In order to accomplish his mission, he must disturb Muslim prayer groups by yelling nasty epithets and attacking Muslim crowds with firearms and lathis.
He has been detained several times for upsetting the peace and inciting animosity between religious groups, but he has always been released on bond. In some regions of Haryana and New Delhi, he keeps up his nasty campaign against Muslims.
News Laundry claims that Amit Hindu despises Muslims. He and his crew attacked Muslims who were attending Friday prayers in Gurugram in November 2021, yelling “shoot these bastards, shoot these traitors” while they did so. The slogan “Goli maro saalon ko, Hindu ke gadaaron ko” (Shoot the traitors of Hinduism) is shouted by a group of Hindu extremists, including Monu Manesar, Kulbhushan Bhardwaj, and Amit Hindu. Two Muslims were burned alive in Rajasthan in February 2023 as part of this case. When questioned what he meant by “traitors,” he responded that “even those who offer namaz in public” and “those who celebrate Pakistan’s victory in cricket matches” are traitors.
Amit Hindu received wrestling instruction in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Akhada (RSS training camps), according to a 2018 article in Hindustan Times. The bogey of “Land jihad”—the conspiracy theory that Muslims are acquiring lands or regions by “harassing” Hindus or making illegal acquisitions to strengthen Islam in India—is spread on the ground by individuals like Amit Hindu.
Amit is affiliated with The Sanyukt Hindu Sangharsh Samiti, a coalition of radical organizations. The Samiti (association), which was established in 2018 with the specific purpose of banning namaz in public, has been at the center of the anti-Muslim agitation in the area. Including the VHP, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Kranti Jal, Arya Samaj, Gurgaon Vahini, Sanskar Bharti, Arya Shikshan, Arya Virghar, and Sanathan Bharti, it is an umbrella group in Gurugram containing 22 Hindutva organizations.
Amit participates in Shastra puja (weapon worshiping) ceremonies where firearms and ammo are revered to arouse pride and fervor among Hindus. He is a follower of the Dasna priest Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati, who has repeatedly called for the annihilation of Muslims.
Amit claims to be a member of the BJP, which is the current government. The claim has not yet been refuted by the BJP.
