Islamophobic Remarks :
Pawan Pandit is the head of the federation of cow militias known as Bhartiya Gau Raksha Dal (BGRD) and a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The RSS is connected to BGRD. He works as a freelance computer programmer.
Identifying as a “radical Hindutva” man, Pandit. According to the BGRD’s website, which was established in 2012 and registered with the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs, its primary goal is “to care for stray, abandoned cows, bulls, retired oxen, and orphaned calves.”
With 6,000 full-time members, the majority of whom are Brahmin men, the BGRD has established cow militia groups in states including Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab. Its central office is in East Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar. Due to rumors that they bought, sold, or butchered cows for beef, some of its members have attacked Muslims and Dalits brutally.
Pandit and his group backed the Hindu cow vigilantes who executed Mohammad Akhlaq on the grounds that he had consumed meat.
“If a cow is being slaughtered, you should know that the foundation of the country is being slaughtered,” he told The Mint.
According to Pandit, “a cow’s life is more precious than a human being’s life.”
Pehlu Khan’s lynching was justified in 2017 by Pandit, who stated: “Today, there is a unified voice from every corner of India that wants cow slaughter prohibited. Why are some individuals ignoring this voice? Why aren’t the people’s voices being represented by the media?
According to him, Muslims are the nation’s enemies: “The life of a Gau Rakshak (cow protector) and the life of an army man working on the border are equal. We also work on the borders between states. While we battle foes domestically, they battle foreign opponents.
