Islamophobic Remarks :
Pooja Shakun Pandey, also known as Sadhvi Annapurna, is a Hindu militant and the national secretary of the All India Hindu Mahasabha. Images of Pandey posing beside or near prominent BJP figures such as Uma Bharati and Shivraj Singh Chouhan have frequently appeared in the press.
Pandey is a well-known bigot who frequently gives speeches to groups of people. She has been arrested several times for making highly communal remarks.
Pandey hosted an event in Aligarh on January 30, 2019, where sweets were given out and Nathuram Godse’s monument was garlanded. Godse, who killed Mahatma Gandhi, was a member of the Hindu Mahasabha as well.
In addition, Pandey orchestrated Gandhi’s murder and declared that it would now take place annually, much like the burning of Ravana’s effigy on Dussehra.
“I would have used my hands to kill Gandhi if I had been born before Godse.” During Partition, he was accountable for the split of India and the deaths of thousands of Hindus. I’ll kill anyone who suggests dividing the nation even further.

She declared that the Hindu Mahasabha has vowed to turn India into a Hindu Rashtra in less than a year on the occasion of the Hindu New Year in 2018. She continued by saying that the government had to comply and start by rebuilding temples in all of the “Muslim-occupied temples,” such as the Qutub Minar and the Taj Mahal.
Pandey had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a letter dated April 2020 to issue a “shoot at sight order” for Tablighi Jamaat members who were allegedly disseminating COVID-19. Pandey was charged with a crime for encouraging animosity between various religious groups and making a statement that encouraged mischief in public. She was briefly arrested later. Following the assault of a young Muslim child by Hindutva activist Shringi Yadav in March 2021, Pooja Shakun insisted that other temples erect signs barring Muslim admission, similar to the one in Dasna.
She spoke at the Hindu Dharma Sansad (Hindu Religious Parliament) at Haridwar, Uttarakhand, between December 17 and 19, 2021, and advocated for the murder of two million Muslims in India.

In response to a question concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s critical stance in 2019 on Sadhvi Pragya’s support of Gandhi’s killer Godse, she stated that Modi must make concessions according to the secular constitution. However, she said that “Modi and others like Modi” were the ones who had previously clarified the goals of Gandhi and Godse.
