Anand Ranganathan

Islamophobic Remarks :

Scientist, author, and political analyst Anand Ranganathan is headquartered in New Delhi.

He began working at the Special Center for Molecular Medicine at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi in 2015, and in 2019 he was promoted to full professor. Anand Ranganathan is a writer and a regular participant in political, media, and scientific disputes on television. He has written columns for Swarajya, DNA, Firstpost, and Newslaundry. Additionally, he serves as the Consulting Editor for the Hindu nationalist publication Swarajya.

Anand regards himself as a “free-speech absolutist,” an atheist, and a patriot. He was rather outspoken and opinionated about matters pertaining to rights and freedom back when he worked for the Newslaundry. Back then, he had the backbone to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cast doubt on nationalism, expose the scam of the Gujarat Model, and write that Godse, the man who assassinated Gandhi, was a psychotic murderer who should not be praised but despised, among other things.

Ranganathan has made a name for himself as a strong advocate of Hindu nationalism and supremacy who holds the current political system to a higher standard and keeps watch over it. The’much needed’ image of educated, English-speaking, and intellectual Hindutva ideologues who can fend off the alleged “onslaught” on Hinduism and India is embodied by Ranganathan, J Sai Deepak, and a select few others.

There is no shortage of the fundamental Islamophobia and anti-Muslim animosity at Ranganathn’s disposal, which is shared by all types of Hindu extremists.

On national television, Ranganathan implied by misquoting the Quran that it “ordains its followers to kill those who criticize Islam,” and that “Isam has enmity against all religions, and whoever is demanding sar tan se juda (a slogan imploring to kill) are simply following the words of Allah.”

Ranganathan questioned why Indian Muslims support Pakistani Muslims, casting doubt on Muslims’ loyalty and implying a relationship to Pakistan.

In a TV debate, he asked himself this issue and replied that the concept of Muslim brotherhood is the real reason, citing BR Ambedkar. He continues by saying that the Muslim Brotherhood is an isolating idea that has hatred and contempt for non-Muslims.

According to Ranganathan, if a “bad believer” just adheres to some religious rules, the world is largely peaceful since being a bad believer can also entail being a decent person.

He believes that there are fundamental issues with Muslims and Islam. Being a good Muslim and a good human being are incompatible. Ranganathan claims that this is an unbridgeable contradiction.

Another crucial component of his formula for hatred is the ongoing instillation of dread among Hindus by exposing to them the “wicked face” of Muslims and Islam. Ranganathan demonstrates how the alleged Muslim domination in India is the result of successive administrations’ Muslim appeasement tactics. He describes this period of purported Muslim dominance as Khilafat 2.0.

Ranganathan contends that history needs to be reconstructed and reinterpreted because it has been biased towards Hindus. Additionally, he endorses and spreads the myth of “the internal enemy” by claiming that Muslims are India’s adversaries in disguise.
