Islamophobic Remarks :
The national spokesperson for the Hindu nationalist organization All India Hindu Mahasabha is Ashok Pandey, a militant Hindu. He is a well-known bigot who frequently gives speeches to groups of people. She has been arrested several times for making incredibly offensive remarks.
In Aligarh, on January 30, 2019, Pandey and his spouse Pooja Pandey hosted an event when sweets were given out and Nathuram Godse’s statue was garlanded. Godse, who killed Mahatma Gandhi, was a member of the Hindu Mahasabha as well.
Along with staging Gandhi’s murder, Pandey’s wife Poonam announced that it will now take place annually, much like the burning of Ravana’s effigy during Dussehra.
“We have taught our kids to murder anyone who threatens the integrity of our nation… “Our kids won’t be as innocent as we were; they’ll kill a lot more people before they die,” he stated to The Print.
In a September 2020 TV interview, Pandey referred to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the founder of Aligarh Muslim University, as a “traitor” and described the school as “an institution being a classroom of terrorists.”
In addition, Pandey has declared an award for Hindu extremist Ram Bhakt Gopal Sharma, who on January 30, 2020, attacked students at Jamia Millia Islamia University amid demonstrations against the citizenship law.
Pandey told The Logical Indian, “Hindu Mahasabha will absolutely honour him if it is proven that he was indeed inspired and he in his own free will has wielded a weapon to show the right path to society, against movements like Shaheen Bagh.”
