Islamophobic Remarks :
Hindu Swabhiman, a militant group for Hindus, was founded by Chetna Sharma, a lawyer by profession. Additionally, she serves as the zonal commissioner for the Akhand Bharat Morcha, a far-right Hindu group.
Sharma has been fervently spreading the love jihad scam in western Uttar Pradesh and wants to take the group national.
She plans village panchayats (assembly) in various regions of western Uttar Pradesh to foment bigotry against Muslims.
Sharma actively participates in the sister organizations Akhand Bharat Morcha and Hindu Swabhiman, which host weapon training camps where Hindu youth (and adults) receive instruction and are brainwashed against Muslims. “There is no survival without fighting, children need to understand the situation.. we make them understand history and then train them,” asserts Sharma in the documentary “The Wild West of Uttar Pradesh: Rise of the Radicalized Hindu Fringe.”
She solicits parents to send their kids to boot camps while she knocks on doors. She claims that she advises parents to send their kids to training camps because otherwise they won’t be ready to defend their faith from Muslims and would likely be brutally murdered by them.
She was seen explaining to a nine-year-old Hritik in the documentary on the rise of Hindu extremism in western Uttar Pradesh that “Muslims are luring away our girls, you have to learn how to use a sword to protect your sisters.”
Explaining the objectives of Hindu Swabhiman, her organization, Sharma says, “We are ideologically rooted in Gita (Hindu Scripture) and train our youths in arms (wand, spears, revolver, sword etc.) to defend against Jihadis (Muslims).”
Sharma actively uses social media sites like Facebook and WhatsApp to disseminate anti-Muslim misinformation. She claims to be a member of millions of member WhatsApp groups, including more than ten.
Islamophobia and hatred of Muslims are clearly apparent in Sharma. Islam is an issue, she claims. It is the same as terrorism. She declares, promoting the myth of “demographic change,” “This is an existential war for Hindus. Muslims (who are actively procreating) will make up the majority of the population in India by 2030, while Hindus will be massacred in the streets.
She states, “I find no qualms in admitting that Narendra Modi has emerged as a weak Prime Minister for Hindutva in an interview with the Times of India…We wished for him to act. We won’t allow Islamists to rule our nation, she continues. When asked if there is an alternative to militarization, she responds, “They (Muslims) should adopt Hinduism and start following our faith”.

The Hindu Swabhiman, also known as Hindu Pride, is a Hindu supremacist group created by Chetna Sharma and supported by Yati Narsimhananda, a member of the Hindu extremist group. The group promotes a variety of conspiracy theories, including love jihad, property jihad, conversion jihad, and others.
According to the organization’s stated ideology on its website, it believes that India is under siege and that “Muslims” must be expelled from the country.
