Major Saras Tripathi

Former Indian Army officer Major (Retired) Saras Tripathi currently runs Pragya Matth Publications, a publishing business that gives Hindu nationalist authors a platform. Tripathi, who embraces the moniker of an ardent nationalist himself, vigorously promotes the idea of a Hindu homeland and spreads misinformation and conspiracy theories against Muslims.

The two novels “Silent Constitution; Dangerous Consequences” and “Holy Sinners; Search of Kashmir,” all of which were released by Tripathi’s publishing business, are also his writings.

Tripathi has a history of speaking on platforms for Hindu extremists, where he denounces the Indian Constitution and passionately promotes the notion of turning the country’s pluralistic democratic system into an exclusive Hindu state.

He frequently spreads untrue information on the “exponential growth” of India’s Muslim population. He offers a fictitious demographic shift based on this false premise, indicating that Muslims will eventually outnumber Hindus. Indulging in fear-mongering, he exhorts Hindus to take immediate action against this imagined threat by incorrectly asserting that if India’s Muslim population reaches thirty percent, it will result in the establishment of a new Pakistan.

Insinuating that Muslims wanted to turn India into an Islamic State in his scary comments to a journalist in January 2023 at a book launch event in New Delhi. He further asserted that the present militancy and insurgency in Kashmir were only minor components of a larger Muslim conspiracy to seize control of the entire Indian state.

Tripathi participated in the Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav (Global Hindu Nation Celebration), which was put on by the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, a radical Hindu group that wants to convert all of India to Hinduism. In his speech on the third day of the seminar on June 18, 2023, he proposed doing away with the Indian Constitution and urged that religious minorities receive the protections that the Constitution guarantees.

So long as these fundamental rights exist, the nation will continue to be oppressed and immoral. By elevating minorities’ status in the Constitution, Hindus are subjected to discrimination. Special privileges are granted to minorities. All of the issues would be solved if the government clarified what it meant to be a “minority.” The Constitution is divisive; despite the fact that Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists have sacrificed their lives to protect our culture, it has divided our people and labeled them minorities. As a result, Hindu Rashtra is essential to maintaining Hinduism, he stated.

“Like termites, our Constitution promotes minoritism and divides us (Hindus). I would advise doing away with it entirely. As soon as we get the ability and power, we will replace this Constitution.

Following a Hindu Jan Jagruti Samiti event in Patna, Bihar, when the idea of a Hindu Rashtra was extensively discussed, he announced unapologetically on Twitter on July 6, 2023 that India would soon become a Hindu country.
