Neelam Singh Aka The Skin Doctor

Islamophobic Remarks :

Neelam Singh, also known as The Skin Doctor, holds a dermatology degree, is a well-known figure on the Hindu far-right, and works as a propagandist. With more than 600k followers on Twitter, Singh consistently introduces anti-Muslim rhetoric into the public dialogue, which quickly spreads throughout the Hindu nationalist community through tweets and retweets. He previously worked for the Indian Army as a Major.

Singh, like other propagandists, uses false information, fake news, and disinformation to advance intolerance and bigotry.

However, Singh began his quest under a false name and phony social media profiles. He previously operated a bogus Twitter account with the Muslim name Neelofar Khan and pretended to be a social media troll.

His tweets and YouTube videos are blatantly anti-Muslim, frequently making fun of and reveling in the plight of the Muslim population in contemporary India. On his YouTube channel, there are about thirty-four videos, practically all of which are on Muslim-related subjects. It goes without saying that the videos he posts have received millions of views despite his illogical claims, slanted conclusions, and repugnant recommendations.

Although he makes an effort to look as an informed and truth-loving person who makes films and writes posts on pertinent topics, striving to put forth an objective analysis on matters backed by adequate sources, in his social media postings and videos, he does his best to play it safe. But underneath the surface, this skin doctor is nothing more than a committed Islamophobe, a hate monger, and a Hindu supremacist. One may easily identify a typical “Hindutva enthusiast” committed to the cause of denigrating religious minorities by simply removing the skin of technical vocabulary and a cool manner.

His YouTube videos and hateful Twitter messages reveal a lot about his anti-Muslim worldview, and a study of the content would further establish his credentials as a hate-monger and Islamophobe.

Singh has had his Twitter account suspended multiple times, but he still goes on his hate-filled exploits.

On his YouTube channel, he discusses the deception of “love jihad,” which aims to validate the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory, in a number of videos. He falsely claims that there are thousands of examples where Muslim males “hide their identity and are implicating poor Hindu girls in marriage under the pretext of love to convert their religion.” He offers a list of purported “love jihad” cases in these videos and draws a pattern from them.

Another slew of videos focus on the “hijab issue,” in which he makes a similar claim that the Popular Front of India (PFI), a Muslim group that critics claim was outlawed by the government for its activism, orchestrated the entire protest in Karnataka for the right to wear the hijab in response to the government’s notification that banned the hijab in government educational institutions in the state.

His Islamophobia is brought to light in another video when he claims that Islam is the least tolerant of the four religions he discusses.

His Islamophobia is brought to light in another video when he claims that Islam is the least tolerant of the four religions he discusses.

He defended Hindu extremism and intolerance among the urban population of Hindus in a video titled “Are urban Hindus turning intolerant?” by arguing that they (urban Hindus) have grown conscious of and care about their religion and culture.

His Facebook posts and Twitter handle are a never-ending source of bigotry and fear-mongering. He sadistically satirizes the deteriorating socio-political situation of Muslims in India through his social media posts.

In addition to the guaranteed impunity that every anti-Muslim hate-monger gets under the current system, his vulturous attitude toward the suffering of Muslims in the country has gained him popularity.
