Hate Speeches :
Social media users have been discussing a video of Pravin Togadia, president of the far-right extreme Hindutva party Antarashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP), swearing hundreds of Hindus to oath. By speaking to a large crowd and urging them to pass laws against population control, “love jihad,” and expelling Bangladeshis (generally used as a code word for Muslims) from India, the perpetrator in the video engages in hate speech. The Haryana district of Palwal has reported the event.
The oath administered by Pravin Togadia:
“Samrudh Hindu (Prosperous Hindu)
Surakshit Hindu (Safe Hindu)
Har Hindu (Every Hindu)
Har Parivar, Humara Gaon, Humara Hindu Samaaj, Humara Hindu Dharma, Humara Hindu Rashtra (Every family, our village, our Hindu society, our Hindu religion, our Hindu country)
Isliye hum jansankhya niyam ka kanoon banwaenge (That is why we will make a law of population rules)
Samaan nagrik kanoon banwaenge (We will enact a uniform civil law)
Anti-love jihad kanoon banwaenge (Anti-love jihad law will be enacted)
Bangladeshiyon ko bhagwaenge (Bangladeshis will be driven away)”

Since making incendiary remarks in Gujarat and central India in the early 2000s, Pravin Togadia has delivered anti-Muslim hate speeches on numerous occasions. He has repeatedly made demands for controversial and discriminatory laws, such as the population control law or the love jihad bill, and has attacked the Muslim community by referring to them as Bangladeshis.

Pravin Togadia, President of the far-right International Hindu Parishad, reminds Muslims about Gujarat. He says that he helped “set up a model in Gujarat that nobody will dare to raise a finger against Hindus.”

He sought a DNA test of Muslim immigrants who arrived after 1951 in his speech on April 6 in Golokganj, Dhubri district, this year. He said that Dhubri currently only has “20% Hindus” and that 12,00,000 Muslims have “infiltrated” from Bangladesh. He had even praised Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for “freeing Assam’s land from illegal Bangladeshi encroachers,” urging the BJP-led state administration to send anyone who “fail” the exam to jail facilities. He further urged Sarma to “identify, isolate, and deport” illegal immigrants, alleging that they were free to live anywhere in Assam. Then he added that India should seize a portion of Bangladesh if “Bangladesh did not take back the illegal foreigners”!
As reported by Pratidin Time, Assam on December 11, 2022, Topgadia, again brazenly the targeted minority community, demanded that they be barred from equality of existence and constitutional rights. Addressing a mob there, he said, “I’ll bring in a law whereby there can be no SP, PM, DM from any other community.” He added, “in my Hindu rastra there will be no Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas. For me, vikas (development)is only for Hindus.
He also claimed, “It’s our land and we are its rightful heirs ” “We will bring the Uniform Civil Code just like Ram Mandir and will control the Muslim population.” He goes on,” in my regime no Muslim (will) get any constitutional post”. He also spoke about the citizenship issue in Assam ” Every Hindu may be he Bengali, Nepali or Assamese –a Hindu cannot be a D voter. If this ‘D’ is not removed for the Hindus, we will start protest.”

He was the former International Working President of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and a cancer surgeon by qualification. He is Current President of Antarashtriya Hindu Parishad. He had a falling out with the Sangh Parivar and is a vocal critic of Narendra Modi.
