Hindu nationalist politician Rajeshwar Singh hails from the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. He is the leader of the state’s Dharm Jagran Samiti (DJS) and an RSS pracharak.
He has been in charge of the RSS’s Ghar Wapisi (Hinduism conversion) initiative in western Uttar Pradesh since 1996. Every year, on December 23 for Muslims and December 25 for Christians, he arranges large Ghar Wapisi activities. Since 1996, he claims to have conducted Ghar wapsi of more than 3,000 persons.
In December 2014, Singh added that the country would be free of religions like Christianity and Islam by 2021.
