Sandeep Acharya

Islamophobic Remarks :

Sandeep Acharya is a part of the hardline Hindu group known as Hindu Yuva Vahini. The organization was started by a Hindu militant monk and Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is a vocalist and composer for a living. Numerous Hindus watch his performances during religious services and concerts.

Sandeep enjoys enormous popularity. His songs are merely demands for the murder and genocide of Muslims and are filled with vituperative and filthy connotations. After 2014, India had a significant flood of “Hindutva pop,” a relatively recent, violent type of music that is loaded with hatred toward Muslims.

His songs lack any kind of musicality; instead, they are replete with hate speech, extremism on the part of Hindus, militarization on the part of Hindus, genocidal calls, Islamophobia, and other terms that incite violence against Muslims

Here are a few lines from his songs:

Hindu hokar bhi tumko gar Prabhu Ram na bhate hain,

Pta karo kya tumhare ghar Abdul chacha aate hain.

(Despite being a Hindu, if you don’t like lord Ram

Find out whether Abdul ChaCha (a Common Muslim Name) frequents your home.)

Hindu Rashtra ghoshit karo Hindustan ko

Modiji ab Maan lo hum sab ki mang ko

(Declare India a Hindu Rashtra (Nation)

Modi ji, accept our demand now.)

Abdul khane me thook Raha hai.

(Abdul (euphemism for Muslims) spits in food (and offers it to Hindus).)

Makke walo Makka jao.

(Those who belong to Mecca go back to Mecca.)

Eid nahi hogi ab

(No Eid ( Muslim Festival) now.)

Bharat me tum kirayedar ho.

(You muslims are tenants in India .)

His songs can be heard playing over loudspeakers at election rallies, local festivals, and Hindu religious processions. Such hate-filled songs are used by Hindu mobs to energise and incite their brigades during intercommunal conflicts.

Loudspeakers in front of mosques in Khargone (Madhya Pradesh) and Northern Gujarat were playing such crude, extremely inflammatory, and Islamophobic songs during anti-Muslim riots. Localities that were Muslim were destroyed by the outbreak of hostilities.

He uploads his songs on social media sites like Facebook and WhatsApp, where the videos quickly become popular. Although his YouTube account was blocked, he continues to create new ones to promote his music as much as possible.
