Islamophobic Remarks :
Hindu supremacist leader Sushil Tiwari hails from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He is the leader of Hindu Army, a militant Hindu group. His organization’s only goal is to transform India into a Hindu Rashtra (country). The motto of the ‘Hindu Army’ is “Ekmart lakshya – Bharat ko Hindu Rashtra Banana” (The only goal is to create India a Hindu Nation).
To incite Hindu feelings against the Muslim community, he frequently participates in anti-Muslim rallies and organizes campaigns based on conspiracy theories and islamophobic propaganda.
Tiwari claims that Muslims have increased in population from five crores to 75 crores during the past seventy years, which he attributes to the country’s inflation. He furthers anti-Muslim prejudices and clichés by saying that Muslims have twenty-five children and five wives, which strains the nation’s meager resources. He claimed that nothing could be done to curb the rising costs unless Muslims were prevented from procreating at their current rate.
According to Tiwari, since Hinduism is the dominant religion in India, anyone with other religious convictions must embrace Hinduism in order to remain there.
“Anyone who wants to travel to Pakistan can do so; Yogiji (Yogi Adityanath) is also covering the costs. We practice ‘ghar-wapsi’ (conversion to Hinduism), you (Muslims) have lived in our nation for seventy years, and we worship cows, so you (Muslims) should, said Tiwari in a video message.
Tiwari participated in the anti-Muslim demonstration on August 8, 2021, which was held in New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and featured chants for the annihilation of Muslims.
At the event, many shouted, “If you want to live in Hindustan, you have to say ‘Jai Shree Ram.’” They would cry “Jai Shree Ram” while Muslims are killed.
The Delhi Police detained Tiwari in connection with the case at his Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, home, but he was later released on bail.
He attended another Hindu Mahapanchayat (Hindu religious parliament) in April 2022 at Burari, New Delhi, while on bail, where numerous speakers and attendees, including Yati Narsinghananda, called for Hindus to ‘take up guns’ against Muslims. After the event, he spoke to the media to say that his organization, Hindu Army, had pushed Narendra Modi to pass population control legislation to stop the number of “heretics” (Muslims) from growing too quickly.
He frequently spreads the ‘Love Jihad’ anti-Muslim conspiracy idea. He once allegedly demanded to be given the suspected defendant in a ‘love jihad’ case so that he may sprinkle petrol over him and burn the man to death.
He carelessly calls Muslims “traitors” and “Jihadees.” He claimed that Muslims were planning to mix mendicants with dairy products to make Hindus ‘napunsak’ (impotent).
According to Tiwari, Muslims “thook jihad” by spitting on food products and selling them to Hindus that have been “contaminated.”
Tiwari is a fierce advocate for the notion of a “economic boycott of Muslims.” He exhorts followers of Hinduism to solely patronize Hindu shops.
