Islamophobic Remarks :
The president of the Shankaracharya Parishad, Hambhavi Peetadhishwar, also known as Swami Anand Swaroop Maharaj, is a militant Hindu priest who has made genocidal statements about India’s religious minorities, particularly Muslims.
Swaroop was in charge of the demonizing campaign that accused Muslims of engaging in “land jihad,” a thesis that holds that Muslims are collecting land all throughout India in order to “take over the country.”
He had pushed for a ban on non-Hindus entering Uttarakhand state in October 2021.
“Hindu priests will take to the streets if non-Hindu access is not prohibited. Muslims in this area are stirring up trouble by promoting non-vegetarianism and defiling the Ganga by dumping meat and cow meat into it. If we don’t pay attention, Kashmir will develop. Hindus should at least have their own state. Hindus will prevail in a title dispute for Uttarakhand on the lines of the Ayodhya case, Swaroop asserted in a Facebook video.
Around the same time, Anandswaroop posted another video to his social media accounts urging his supporters to defeat the “external and internal Taliban” and “train youth to behead” foes.
Additionally, Swaroop maintains close ties with militant Hindu organizations like Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sanatan Sanstha.
Swaroop stated during a lecture in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh in January 2021 that if Muslims wish to survive in India, they should “stop reading the Quran and stop offering namaz.”
One who reads the Quran turns into a beast and ceases to be human. If the Muslims must continue to be linked with us, we should demand that they quit reading the Quran and performing namaz. The Constitution is still the supreme law, thus we are unable to intervene.

He delivered genocidal pronouncements while speaking at the Hindu Dharma Sansad (Hindu Religious Parliament) at Haridwar, Uttarakhand, between December 17 and 19, 2021.
The government must heed the Dharma Sansad’s judgment since it is a divine command. If it doesn’t, we’ll fight a bloodier battle than the uprising of 1857, Swaroop warned the audience at the Dharma Sansad.
