The Head of Research at OpenAI, Tal Broda, has anti-Palestinian tweets from 2014 to December 2023. Among these tweets are:

- “More! No mercy! IDF don’t stop!”
- “MORE. Don’t stop”
- “The IDF didn’t even start to clean southern Gaza”
- “We should have never left [Gaza]. Now we need take it back, by force, and keep it forever. Nothing else works.”
- “Don’t worry about [killing civilians]. Worry about us”
More than eighty previous tweets were removed by Tal Broda between December 13 and December 15, 2023.
The number of signatures on a petition demanding Tal Broda’s exclusion from OpenAI has exceeded 10,000. Users of ChatGPT are worried that Tal Broda is an unsuitable leader for the research that powers an AI platform that has been criticized for anti-Palestinian bias due to his anti-Palestinian views.
