Vaibhav Singh

Islamophobic Remarks :

Banaras, Uttar Pradesh native Vaibhav Singh is the creator and co-founder of two YouTube channels, Do News (148K subscribers) and Defensive Offence (1.75M subscribers), which are well-known for spreading anti-Muslim propaganda and endorsing Hindu supremacist ideologies. He is a strong opponent of the country’s liberal-secular identity.

Singh’s channels regularly host interviews and podcasts that denigrate Muslim culture and way of life while using hate speech and misinformation to defend their marginalization. People with anti-Muslim views, such as Yati Narsinghanand, who has a history of calling for the genocide of Muslims in India, are frequently featured on these channels.

Ajeet Bharti, the host of a video on Singh’s podcast YouTube channel Dopolitcs, called Muslims “pigs” and claimed that they broke into Hindu temples to molestation Hindu women in April 2021. Additionally, Yati Narsinghanand’s genocidal remarks were applauded and supported in the video.

Singh openly stated in one of his podcasts that he was in favor of amending the Indian Constitution to better reflect the views of the nation’s Hindu supremacists. In addition, he asserted that his father owned the locations of Mathura and Gyanvapi mosques.

Singh posted an X post in July 2021 that made fun of and threatened Muslim journalist Rana Ayyub after she voiced concern about the growing Islamophobia in Uttar Pradesh, a state ruled by the People’s Party of India.

Singh disparagingly compared prominent Muslim politician Asaduddin Owaisi to Muslim rulers such as Aurangzeb in a May 2022 screenshot. He also threatened to destroy the Gyanvapi Mosque in the same way that the Babri Mosque in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, was destroyed.

Singh expressed support for former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on social media in June 2022, following her offensive remarks regarding Prophet Mohammed (pbuh).
