Bio :

Eva Lonn is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at McMaster University and a Principal Investigator for the Atherosclerosis Imaging and Cardiovascular Prevention programs at PHRI.

She has served as the leader of multiple sizable international studies and on the international steering committee of other significant trials aimed at preventing cardiovascular disease. For over two decades, she oversaw the Vascular Research Ultrasound Laboratory at PHRI. She was a longstanding member of the Executive Committee and Council of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society. The Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and the Medical Research Council of Canada have all awarded her research funds. She has eight book chapters and more than 220 peer-reviewed publications published.

Eva Lonn graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a medical degree. She then went on to the University of Toronto for clinical training in internal medicine, cardiology, and advanced imaging. Eva Lonn also participated in research fellowships at the University of Toronto and McMaster University, where she earned a Master of Science in health research methodology.
