Islamophobic Remarks :
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), a sister organization of the Hindu militant organisation Sanatan Sanstha, has Ramesh Shinde as its national spokesperson. Narendra Dabholkar, a campaigner against superstition, was allegedly murdered in 2013 by members of the HJS.
The main organizers of the 2017 Hindutva summit in Goa were a well-known Islamophobe named Shinde and Uday Dhrui, who came up with a plan to create a “Hindu Rashtra” in India by 2023.
Shinde is also the head of HJS’ propaganda division, which advocates hoaxes like “love jihad” and “religious conversions” in order to specifically target Muslims and Christians. He views secularism as a plot to eradicate the idea of the Hindu Rashtra from Hindu minds.
Shinde advocated against Muslim quotas in employment and educational settings in Maharashtra in June 2014.
He demanded the prohibition of loudspeakers in mosques in 2017. “Is the loudspeaker in the mosque more significant or superior to the Indian Constitution? The Supreme Court has previously ruled that loudspeakers should be taken down and that mosques should also face consequences, the speaker claimed.
He planned numerous protests in favour of the unfair Citizenship (Amendment) Act in 2019.
In 2020, Shinde vented his hatred for Muslims on social media, calling them engaged in “economic Jihad.” He claimed that halal goods were “gaining a stronghold over the world economy,” and that they needed to be restrained, at least in India.
He demanded that all Hindu temples across the nation forbid Muslims and Christians from entering in April 2021.
