Valentina Gomez, born May 8, 1999, in Medellín, Colombia, is a Colombian-American real estate investor and far-right political activist. She immigrated to the United States in 2009 and first gained attention as a businesswoman before launching a political career marked by extreme rhetoric and controversial stunts. Gomez ran unsuccessfully for Missouri Secretary of State in 2024, where she became known for inflammatory videos targeting minorities and LGBTQ+ people. In December 2024, she announced her candidacy for Congress in Texas, positioning herself as a MAGA-aligned firebrand and publicly associating with other far-right figures

Hate Speech and the Texas Muslim Rally Incident

Valentina Gomez’s notoriety has only grown with her latest public outburst in Texas. At a peaceful Muslim rally at the Texas State Capitol, Gomez stormed the stage, forcibly took the microphone, and delivered an expletive-laden anti-Muslim tirade. In front of the crowd, she shouted, “Islam is the religion of r*pe, inst and pop**ilia where they bow down to a stupid rock and a false prophet… I will NEVER let Sharia Law take over Texas.” She continued, “Islam has no place in Texas. Help me to Congress so we can end the Islamization of America. I only fear God.”

Her hate speech was instantly met with chants of “Allahu Akbar” from the rally’s participants, who tried to drown out her words with unity and resilience. Gomez later posted a clip of her actions on social media, doubling down on her anti-Muslim message and using the incident to rally support for her congressional campaign.

This incident is not isolated. Gomez has a history of using violent and hateful imagery in her political messaging. She previously posted a video simulating the execution of a migrant, captioned, “This is cheaper than deportation,” which was flagged by X (formerly Twitter) for promoting violence. Her rhetoric consistently targets immigrants, Muslims, and LGBTQ+ people, and she has shown no signs of moderating her language or tactics.
