Nina Rosenwald

OVERVIEW

Nina Rosenwald is the founder and president of the Gatestone Institute, described by The Nation as "the sugar mama of anti-Muslim hate." She is the granddaughter of Julius Rosenwald (Sears, Roebuck co-founder) and controls the Abstraction Fund, a private family foundation.

FUNDING NETWORK

Through the Abstraction Fund, Rosenwald funneled approximately $1.87 million directly to Gatestone Institute (2010-2015). Overall, the Abstraction Fund directed ~$3.2 million toward anti-Muslim groups in the same period.

The William Rosenwald Family Fund has directed millions toward related policy efforts since 2000, identified as a "top funder of Islamophobia."

BOARD AFFILIATIONS

Rosenwald serves on the boards of AIPAC, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), and the Hudson Institute, connecting Gatestone to mainstream pro-Israel policy infrastructure.

GATESTONE'S REACH

Under Rosenwald's leadership, Gatestone has published content promoting far-right candidates in European elections, funded Geert Wilders' US trips, and published articles by Fjordman (whose writings influenced the 2011 Norway attacker).
